The teflon coating is peeling off my pans. Can we get sick if we accidentally ingest any of it? I noticed it peeling AFTER we ate and I was washing the pan. I heard it can cause cancer too. Is that true?

My 11 year old son has a cold sore on his upper lip. Does this mean that they will occur through-out his life now? I am very confused about herpes/cold sores. What's the difference? is there a difference? Should I stop sharing drinks with him or kissing him good-night. I hope I don't sound stupid.
Is there anything tht i can give him to help it go away faster?

My roommate is ill with we don't know what. Her symptoms are nausea, fever, chills and sweats. She also gets headaches frequently. She has been sick for almost 3 weeks now. She thinks that it is something in our apartment but I have not been sick so I'm really not sure. Does anyone know what this could be?

My husbands Grandfather just found out today that he has shingles,my husband has been going to his house & taking care of him & his aunt(which lives with his g/father, she has down syndorme sp?) she came to our house the last 2 nights for dinner. Is shingles cautgious (sp?) if so how bad? We have 2 children ages 2 & 6, we also run a daycare with 6 other children who attend!! Ages from 1 to 11yrs. Do you think my children or any of the children will get shingles? My children were over to visit their grandfather last Wed. He didnt start feeling sick until sunday nite. Do you think theres a higher chance of them getting it since we had their aunt here, who lives with the g/father that has shingles? My children have had their shots for chicken pox, someone told me if they have had chicken pox they shouldnt get shingles, but having the shot for it & actually having chicken poxs, is that the samething? I need as much information on this as possible!

3 months ago I became pregnant of an old fiance, and from the 10 days of the last relation I began to have many strange symptoms. Pain throat, of head, tires, influenza, nasal congestión, respiratory problems, asthma, fever etc. This lasted by near month and means (I say, the two fever was single of day), and was then that in an analysis I found out that she was pregnant. At 7th week, I lost the pregnancy involuntarily. I had a loss of great affluent blood with the undesired abortion. After several days with respiratory problems, terrible weakness, pelvians fatigue, annoyances, etc, I returned to recover my normal rate slowly. Nevertheless, for pair of weeks I have been falling new time, mainly after an abnormal period menstrual in which I experienced great bleeding or, outside the common thing and now the feet have swollen me Barbarian, with pair of abscesses that or seem erisipela or nodules to the height of the ankle, in addition to which I feel a great pain, weakness and decay in the feet. Also I have myself often swell and I feel oral annoyances today at general level. I went to a doctor, and this it indicated CBC to me and analysis of tinkles. Everything left normal, including white globules in the 8,000 and lymphocytes in 2,800. Nevertheless, the HGB is in 11,2, the HCM in 33.9 and the number of red globules in 3.9, being its minimum 4.5... All this can be fruit of the abortion and the anemia, or is HIV principle?

How does sunlight kill virus and bacteria particles? Is this always the case. My mom is a pharmacist and she said that it's not. That some are aneraerobic and some are aerobic. But is there something more likely than another to kill a good amount of particles? How does blood make it worse, exactly?

Hi I was diagnoised with Bacterial Vaginitis today. I was given a perscription of Metronidazol 250 mg tab. I am suppose to take 2 tablets by mouth 3 times daily for 7 days. That would be 1500 mg a day. It just seems like a high dose to me and I have done some reseach online an from what I can tell 1000mg a day is a normal treatment.

Thoughts??

My cousin seems to think I am a doctor. She wants to know if you can get infections from public toilets especially if the water in the bowl splashes onto your vagina. She's pregnant too so she wants to know everything.

I know that diarrhea is a symptom of the "stomach flu" but what about the actual flu? I've been sick for two days now with nausea, diarrhea, and body aches.....no fever, no vomiting,.....everything I've read as far as symptoms of the actual flu never states diarrhea as a symptom but I don't think I have the stomach flu because I'm not throwing up and I have the body aches. Any ideas would help. I don't want to go to the doctor unless absolutely necessary so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks,
