Bladder infections and Urinary Tract Infections are to separate disorders. However, if you are having burning and difficulty urinating a few days after having intercourse...then YES intercourse is the culprit.
There are a few things that you can do to help reduce the chances of having another UTI
(1) Increase your water intake
(2) Urinate before and *** after intercourse****...this helps flush away any bacteria that may have entered your urinary tract
(3) Use of condoms also helps decrease your frequencies to UTI's
(4) Drink cranberry juice....it is very good for flushing out your kidneys, which is where urine forms in the body.
I hope this information helps you....good luck.

It depends. There's a much greater chance of a female gettin a urinary infection than a male much because there's less room for bacteria to go up a male's urethra. It is not uncommon for females to get infections due to the thrusting that occurs during intercourse which pushes bacteria (along with semen) up the urinary tract.
Best at home prevention after sex: urinate right after.
My gf used to always get these infections until she finally told me that she was getting them in which I told her to go to the bathroom immediately afterwards. She stopped getting sick after that.

Hey, I don't think that it is PASSED as such as a STD is. But i do agree because of past experience that it is due to friction, fingers, foreign objects if u like, and definately agree a woman should visit the loo straight after and not carry it around and i always found that after drinking lots of water the discomfort went away, but if it doesn't i'd visit the doc.
