There are some OTC cold and flu medications made specifically for people with high blood pressure, BUT it is vital that you still talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any of them. You need to check not only for the high blood pressure, but for interactions with your other medications. Good luck.

Go to the supermarket and buy fresh ginger break a piece and boil it in water and drink this tea. It is excellent for the common cold and the flu. And it is safe and natural. No medications. I make this tea for my 83 year old mom who has high blood pressure. Hope you feel better.

Cloricedin HBP is specifically for those with high blood pressure. Do you know that the regular OTC cold meds actually raise your pressure? I have found that none of the regular raise my blood pressure (yes, i am on high BP meds) more than 4-8 points... a price I am willing to pay during the periods when I have a cold or allergy attack... Talk to your local pharmacist or your primary MD and get their opinion...

As long as your hypertension is controlled by medication, the various cold medications should not pose a problem. I have controlled hypertension and have used most of the cold/flu medications with no problems at all. If you are worried, check with your doctor.
