Don't:
1) Don't take kicap
Due to its dark colour element colouring, chinese believes that it will DARKENED your scars. It takes longer time for the scars to disappear.
2) Don't go out-door after sunset (after 7pm)
Due to high moisture content after sunset, it is believe that the moisture will enter your body and make your body weaken in future.
3) Don't scrath the spots
We understand they are itchy and disturb your concentration. The truth is try to look at itchy and your body separately. It means itch is itch, it comes and go.
Try to observe the itch when it arises in any of the chicken pox spot. You will find that the itch come and then it goes. Observe your itch with mindfulness.

Don't scratch the spots as they will leave scars. I know it's itchy but calamine lotion usually does the trick. The more someone scratches the itchy spots the more likely there will be scars left over. Do rest, drink plenty of liquids. Don't expose an adult to chicken pox if they never had it as that could lead to steralization. Rest and relax for a few days.

Oatmeal baths are great for relief from itching. You can buy this at your drug store. I believe the Oatmeal product is called Aveena. Not much you can do but make them comfortable as possible and ride it out.
