Scarlet fever most commonly affects children under age 10, but can infect anyone.

It is just Strept A that produces a nasty toxin that causes the symptoms known as scarlet fever.

Any person can get Scarlet Fever same way you can get chicken pox as an adult.

Yes..if you haven't had it before.. It's worse when you're an adult so make sure you see a Dr and rest. (complications are a BIG factor when you have childrens diseases as an adult.)
