i sometimes get acne on my chest, and i know its normal and i have to wash it, yada yada yada.
just now i realize i have this lump.
its smaller than my pinky fingernail, but it doesn't feel like a normal pimple.
i think it is, but it is hard and lumpy and doesn't show ANY signs of popping whatsoever.

After reading these statements taken from reputable websites:

“While moderate amount of alcohol can cause blood sugar to rise, excess alcohol can actually decrease your blood sugar level -- sometimes causing it to drop into dangerous levels.”

“Small Amounts of Alcohol Slightly Increases Risk of Low Blood Sugar in Certain Diabetics.”

Webmd.com

“Hypoglycemia Causes:

Common causes of low blood sugar include the following:

Overmedication with insulin or antidiabetic pills

Use of alcohol”

Emedicine.com

And, finally, the American Diabetes Association says:

“This is why drinking as little as 2 ounces of alcohol (about 2 drinks) on an empty stomach can lead to very low blood sugar.”

Although the rash isn't ever visible on my back now, I do still get it, mostly on my arms and hands and very occasionally on my stomach. I smoke (not much though) and I do enjoy a drink (mostly Lager.) My Doc says it's a yeast infection which I am doubting. I drank Lager and smoked b4 the rash appeared but when I do drink Lager it does make the rash appear worse. It is never itchy unless I get very warm through running or exposure to high heat. I know lager is high in yeast so maybe the Doc is right (?) I have history in my family of Diabetes (long history) and heart problems. Any suggestions please?

I sometimes get uti's but mostly just bladder spasams and symptoms of a uti without having one. I have been to a urologist years ago and got a cystoscope done and never ever want one done again fully conscience. All Urologists that I know of do them in their office with no sedation or even a sedative. How do I find a urologist to do this test with at least a sedative!! I am in pain nearly all the time but the test is awful and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about getting it again.

I've had large amounts of blood follow my stool each time I use the restroom. I'm not sure exactly how much blood there really is but the toilet bowl water is pretty much red. It's been happening for about a week now and I'm getting worried. Yesterday was the only exception as I saw no blood int he stool, however it has reoccurred again today. I saw a physician and he was unable to find any trace of blood with the equipment he had. He suggested I go see a gastroenterologist but the earliest available appointment is next Tuesday. I'm pretty anxious and scared and was wondering if this is a serious issue that should be taken care of sooner. Please let me know if you have any knowledge of this issue.

Hi Guys-My mother in-law lives an hour and a half away. She has had 2 heart attacks, a stent put in her neck to avoid a stroke, has mild mental health issues and can not get out of the house to tend to her needs. She can no longer take care of the dishes, wash, etc. How does the state and/or medicare decide if a nursing home is right for her or not?

She does not have any other physical disabilities such as an inability to walk, etc. She lives in Southern NJ just outside of Philly.

Any sites, advice, etc. would be a huge help.

My mother is dying of cancer. Small cell lung cancer that has now spread to her brain. I was going to her house everyday and spending the night with her. We never got along and she mentally abused me all my life. She is all the family i have left. I had to stop staying there with her. I have a place with my girl friend.

My dad experienced chest pain one day, and the doctor referred him to the hospital a few months ago for a stress test and a heart scan procedure. However, he became worried about the procedures of the test during the heart scan. He claimed to have seen the technician inject some radioactive fluid into his veins via the I.V. After the injection, the doctor put the needle into a champagne-like cup, upside down, and didn't immediately dispose of it properly, into a disposal can for needles. What my dad is worried about are the needles, because he fears that they have the potential to be reused, as what he had seen that day. He seems to be afraid to be affected by HIV, hepatitis, and other illnesses. So what are the chances here of the needles being reused?

Thanks!

For years I've read (and personally known) about benefits of chamomile. A year ago I read that it's being known to destroy turmors. It is also so potent that women throughout the ages have taken it to make their periods come down.

Similar to grapefruit it also interferes with certain drugs (medicines), including CANCER medicines, such as Etoposide, Paclitaxel. Vinblastine, and Vincristine. It should not be taken with blood-thinning medications, for it does precisely the same effect as these drugs.

Being this herb so potent, with such proven health benefits, why isn't science paying closer attention to it?
