I am 21 and I had my ears pierced when I was about 5 so I don't think its a piercing infection. It just recently started and cleaning it doesn't help. When I wear any earrings it continuously leaks a clear to red/brown fluid and forms crusties. When I don't wear earrings, I get the crusties but they don't reform since the hole is not penetrated. Any idea what's wrong?

I am experiencing fecal matter that is a dark greenish color. It is not really visible in the basin but on the toilet paper, it is definitely a greenish pigment, it is dark and not pale and there is no blood in it. It is not black (caused by congealed blood). What is wrong?? i am worried!

My 8 year old sister was treated for chicken pox a few weeks back. After almost one week, she started having fever followed by pain (aching kind?) all over her body. The pain is severe, according to her, appears at any time, persists for some 5 - 10 min at max all over the body and then disappears. She doesn't have any rashes or any iching kind of pain, but it is an aching kind of pain, which once appeared can't be relieved by any means, other than just 'suffer and wait' until the pain subsides on its own.

We consulted a paedriatic surgeon, she was given cefixime and ibuprofen. Fever has subsided, though the pain persists now also.

I am deeply upset, and adding to it, my elder sister (15) also has started to get the same kind of pain.(she had already got chicken pox in her child hood). We r really sad,as once the pain appears, there is nothing we can do to relieve the pain, neither a muscle massage, nor any thing helps.

Please tell me what it is all about.... Please help...

Recently I heard about an illness that afflicts children and adults, causing them to eat incessantly. They crave food continuously. Sometimes, they resort to eating inanimate objects. What's this illness called? Is it classified as an eating disorder?

I'm 18, and when i was 17 i started having problems breathing, so far it has progressed to the point of me having full blown asthma attacks(I have never heard of ANYBODY getting asthma later on in life either!!!) and needing to use xopenex in emergence's and albuterol sulfate nebulizer everyday, but i have started noticing I get really shaky after taking it and I am having nightmares almost every night(for more then a month now). my asthma problems seem under control, but the nightmares are really starting to bother me, is there something i can do to stop the nightmares but still take the albuterol?

A new mother brings her infant to the clinic, worried about a yellowish, scummy deposit that has built up on the baby's scalp. What is this condition called, and is it serious?

I went to the Dr. because I have heart palpitations. I was tested for 48 hrs with "the holter moniter". I had various different episodes while on the monitor, including an episode @3am when my heart skipped beats and went from high 60's to @150bpm! I was sleeping at the time it happened.
My Dr. suggested that I ween myself off of caffiene to see if this helps. My question is:

If I need to ween myself off of caffiene in order to have a regular heart beat, is there an underlying condition I might have or is this a reaction to the caffiene? If I have palpitations due to caffiene, does that mean my heart is actually weak?

My mother in law still smokes, but only about 8 cigs a day (oh she can barely make it out the door to smoke too, we make her smoke outside cause we dont want cancer) and after she smokes, she does her nebulizer. Will she develop pnuemonia by doing this?

She refuses to quit and is in hospice care, but I think she will get pnuemonia if she continues on her current path. Thoughts?
This poor lady can BARELY make it out of her room, but she is determined to take her last breathe with nicotine in it.

My boyfriend and I broke up a few weeks ago and throughout our relationship we had sex but I know he got tested for HIV and was HIV-free. After we broke up I made out with a few guys but that was as far as it went. I don't remember having any sores or tasting any blood. So a few weeks later I got tonsillitis but I think this is normal for me since I tend to get tonsillitis a lot.

Anyway, should I be worried at all about tonsillitis? Since it mimics the first signs of HIV, could I have in any way gotten HIV from kissing?

And P.S. I just got tested yesterday and am negative but figure that if it's from the kissing it wouldn't have shown up yet.

Please tell me I am going crazy, lol!

I I Am a heart patient with three major blocks in all the three major blood vessels. I have to be very vigilent for any kind of pain in my left side of abdorminal or chest areas . Recentely I had "pancreatitis" attack & pain under my left rib and was diagonised as gall bladder stone problem. Treated and cured completely. Now if i take oily foods, i get pain under my LEFT rib.So I stopped oily foods. Sometimes even IF I DO NOT take oily food ALSO some times mild pain under rib . I am not able to discreminate wheather the pain is due to heart or gall bladder. One Website says Gall Bladdar pains always under right side abdomon but I had on the left side and having How to discreminate the pain is due to Heart Or Gall Bladdar. This pain is random and occational. As I heart Patient with all blocks I can't take chances. The pain some times for 5 minutes or 10 min or 15 min and vanishes always.
