I'm double-jointed in many places, mainly my knees and hips though, this has caused me HUGE problems in life because I was born to perform and for some reason my hypermobile knees have made it so I don't walk and run like a normal person, therefore I find it a lot harder to dance right. My problem with running caused me to be teased a lot as a kid too.
My mum has hypermobility but not as bad as mine.
I want kids in a few years and want to know whether a genetic counciler would be able to find out what gene causes this. With the help of science, can this gene be eliminated?

so i have this bump in a weird area. It's in between where my pelvis is and my leg starts (femur)...it's like right on the crease. i mean its not noticable, i guess i noticed it when i kinda felt a slight pain where the bump is. When I push down on it a little u can tell its semi round and kinda hard. Feels like a tendon. I've had it off and on for a few weeks, sometimes its more noticle then others. Just wondering if anyone has had this before. Not sure if i should be freaking out or not. cancer maybe? idunno

My son started swimming lessons 3 days ago at the inside swimming pool. The chlorine and long time water exposure dries out his skin head to toe, and his skin gets all dry and sand paper like.

He is 12 years old, what things should I bring to the pool and use on him to protect his skin?

I cant look at things without spitting and its outrageous! It was just a bad habit now I'm scared I may have a disease or something. Its impossible to go a day without spitting. It sometimes even wake me in my sleep to spit. When I do not spit, I choke badly. It is really scary and nasty. I've tried stopping but I can't. Can someone PLEASE tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it.

I had really bad acne when i was younger. I am through puberty and my face has cleared up, but i am left with scars from my chin to mid cheek (indents) it isn't noticable in the summer when i get pretty tan or if i do a good job with cover up, but it is still very embarrassing. any suggestions? (besides costly dermatologist procedures..)

ps. these scars are completely healed and have been for some time. i feel like its way too late now.

Today 3rd month since i stop smoking , i was smoker for 28yrs 1 pack a day, I quit cold turkey. withdrawals had been very bad , but is getting better . I'm not sure if it's the flu or not, but my mom just got over being sick and she was puking, had a headache, and had diarrhea, and now I feel like puking, I have a headache, and I think I have diarrhea.

They are the typical "pitted" type. I don't need to know about any other treatments, I have already asked people about that...I am now considering laser treatment. I just wanted to know if anyone had it done on these type of scars, and how it turned out...also, does it lead to a new "scar" from the treatment, or how does it look after the treatment....thank you!
