Hot spicy food and steam to loosen up the mucus so it won't clog. I like hot teas and bouillon when I am ill too.

If it's allergies, you may want to give the place a thorough cleaning and get the allergen out of your environment too. And if THAT doesn't work, call in the big guns and see a doctor: You may have something going on that home remedies can't fix.

Good luck.

Try saline sprays or rinses. Saltwater rinses and saline sprays thin your mucus and get rid of irritants. You can buy saline nasal sprays in most drugstores. Or you can make your own. Dissolve about 1/4 teaspoon salt in 2 cups of warm distilled water. Use a suction bulb to place the solution in your nose or put some of the warm salt water in the cup of your hand, and then sniff it up, one nostril at a time.

if allergy medicine isnt working, then you might be sick. but since you've had it for two weeks then that probly isnt it. i would say you might have a sinus infection. if it feels like your nose is so clogged and runny and nothing is working then you probly do. you'll have to go to your doctor to find out if it really is. i had a sinus infection and thats what it was like and i had to go to the doctor and he gave me a shot and some allergy medicine and it fixed me up within the next day or so.

Try something spicy for lunch. Mexican, thai, or indian food might help. Even a jar of hot salsa and some corn chips will do it.
