i sometimes get acne on my chest, and i know its normal and i have to wash it, yada yada yada.
just now i realize i have this lump.
its smaller than my pinky fingernail, but it doesn't feel like a normal pimple.
i think it is, but it is hard and lumpy and doesn't show ANY signs of popping whatsoever.
any help?

Im sure its not caner, George you jerk .. . Anyways, Its probably either a boil forming, or an irritated hair folicle. It can be many many things, if its that small, i wouldnt worry to much about it. It sounds like it might just be a pimple like you said, sometimes they get really hard under the surface, and take a long time to grow a head so that you can pop it. I would give it a little longer. You can also try getting a rag with really warm water but not hot, you dont want to burn yourself! and lay the rag right ontop of the 'lump' that can help it bring it to the surface and form a head faster.
If nothing happens within like a week, suck as not being able to pop it or it gets bigger, then you should go get it checked out by a doc. I'm sure its fine, and it will go away on its own, dont worry about it :)

Get it checked out. It is probably nothing - a deep pimple. But if you have spent a lot of time in the sun or are fair skinned or are and have done both, it could be a basal cell carcinoma or some other form of cancer.
If so, don't avoid it. These types of cancers are normally easy to remove at early stages and there is no danger of it spreading if taken care of immediately.
So - again - see your physician as soon as possible to rule out anything serious.

No not cancer! Sometimes a pimple goes down with the head instead of up. If it does not go down or actually come to a head in about a week or so, you may want to go to the doctor. They will have to lance it. Not that painful!

It could be a cyst. I had one and it was nothing to worry about. I would make a doctors appointment to make sure and to ease your worries. I will pray that it is nothing more than a cyst.
In the meantime, try to relax and don't worry. Have a good Thanksgiving. Enjoy your friends and family.

i'm not sure but think i know what you're talking about. i have one too. maybe it might be keloid. if you look it up in google, they'll have pictures but they are more severe. they don't seem to have pics of real small ones. but if you do have keloid, they can easily be removed through surgery of some sort.
