I sometimes get uti's but mostly just bladder spasams and symptoms of a uti without having one. I have been to a urologist years ago and got a cystoscope done and never ever want one done again fully conscience. All Urologists that I know of do them in their office with no sedation or even a sedative. How do I find a urologist to do this test with at least a sedative!! I am in pain nearly all the time but the test is awful and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about getting it again.

try calling the office to see if the will arrange to do the procedure with a sedative. they may be willing to make an exception for you.

You can insist on the urologist giving you a local anesthesia. Tell the doctor that this pain is unbearable and you'd rather not feel it, so a pain reliever, local, sedative - anything might help

If you suppose your bowels are the situation and now not your urine, move see a GI health care provider (that is gastro-intestinal). If you're now not concerned approximately your urination, name the health care provider, cancel that appoinment and move to the opposite sort. My brother had impacted intestines, and allow me inform you, all of his organs had been out of position. (I noticed the x-ray). Good good fortune - do not return to that urologist except you're having urine issues.
