hey there I am in the same situation. 24 yr old F. Alopecia is unfortunatly inherated If someone in your family has thin or thinning hair at an early age youll most likely have the same problem. My mom and one of my grandmothers is my culprit. Check on Webmd.com and type in alopecia and read up on it. Then consult your doctor if you have any further questions. I had my doctor recommend this scalp med for me. Im glad he did. So what I use scalp med for women its a spray that is put on my head twice a day and you leave it on for four hours. They have them for men as well. This is kina expensive though. I pay $200 for 5 bottles. But its soo worth it. After 6 months i saw results. There is vitamins and other folicle enhancing things in the formula if you will which enhances the hair folicles and gradually makes new ones. They also have rogaine for women but I find that its not really effective. I didnt like how the liquid ran down my face and into my eyes. This is also available for men in a foam. Another option which is out of the question for me but I could suggest it is a visit or two to a hair restoration place. I heard that it costs thousands of dollars (depending of the severity of your case if this is what you have) thats really expensive. Some companies offer pills although I dont trust them.
