The HPV test is a test that detects the DNA of high risk HPV in a woman.

Gardasil is a vaccine for HPV that prevents a woman from contracting 4 different kinds of HPV. Two of those kinds are known to cause about 70% of cervical cancer cases and the other two are known to cause about 90% of genital wart cases. Gardasil does not prevent a woman from contracting ALL kinds of HPV - just 4 kinds. There are over 120 different kinds of HPV, and about 30 or so of them are sexually transmitted.

Guardasil injections are an immunization, like the ones you get when you're a baby and toddler and before you start school. It prevents some strains of the HPV virus. Not all of them though. If you actually have an HPV test, then they check to see if you have genital warts. They are easy enough to get rid of, just go to your local health clinic and they will give you what you need for free or for cheap.
