I live thousands of miles away from someone very important to me who has a growing stomach tumor. She is too sick to work and I don't know the first thing about facing a life threatening illness, insurance, or getting treatment. Once I found out about her condition I've been working as much as I can but I just don't make enough money to help. I think blue shield costs $400 a month but that's just too expensive. Are there other options available?

It seems to me that there is ALOT of attention on breast cancer. When i go shopping i keep seeing pink ribbons. if toy go to the american cancer society website the first thing you will notice is a pink ribbon with the words In focus:breast cancer. Why? I understand that breast cancer is a horrible disease and i sympathize with anyone who suffers from it but it is the 5th deadliest cancer. That means there are 4 that kill more but get far less attention.

Lung cancer will kill an estimated 170,000 people while breast cancer will kill an estimated 40,000

My daughter was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in June this year. Due to the negative prognosis, we didn't go for surgery, chemotherapy & radiotherapy. Instead we relied on traditional Chinese medications that have been used to treat brain tumor patients in China. Its already 4 months now since her diagnose and there are both positive & negative symptoms.

my eyes are yellow and the doctor said that i have jaundice.another doctor said that i might have the bile duct (not sure it is the right one) is blocked...I really dunno what I have and I am really scared that i have my duct blocked.i have absolutely no pain and would like to know what am I suffering from?I need to know what causes the yellow of the eyes and the body?Is it only from jaundice or from other stuff like duct blockage?

My mom when she eats solid food the food stops just below the vocal cord area in the throat & just sits there but when she swallows soft foods like yogurt or a drink goes down fine. Mom feels sick to her stomach during those times too. The doctor said she didnt think there was anything wrong! do you believe that! the doctor must be out of her mind. Mom is going in to a new doctor and they will put a camera into her throat lets hop shes safe but it beats the first opinion! Mom had acid reflux years back and had been using those purple pills that is supose to stop it mybe it made things worse? Im thinking theres an obstruction in her throat? Does anyone know what this might be?

If you eat foods high in carbs/sugars and then purge will it help lower your blood sugar? Would it make a difference if you are not taking meds/insulin? I realize what all the health issues are with bulimia and that it's never a good idea. I am just curious if anyone knows. This would mostly be in regards to Type 2 diabetes.

immediately corrected with surgery because:

a. the hole will cause the flow of blood to reverse in the heart.
b. the hole will allow blood to leak out of the heart and the child could bleed to death
c. the hole will cause blood to flow in the reverse direction back into veins instead of the arteries.
d. the hole allows mixing both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood which reduces oxygen delivery to tissues

So my mom has been a diabetic for some time now and she has other health issues needing many different medications, often changing, causing her sugar levels to go all over the place. Anyways the biggest concern i have for her is that at times her sugar levels will plummet to even the low 30's. I was wondering if when this happens, what foods are best to bring these levels back to normal instead of overshooting it. Is there anything special for diabetics

I was recently treated for chlamydia, and when I was checked for it again, it was still there. It came as a shock to me in the first place, but surprised me even more I still had it. I haven't had any sexual contact in over 2 months, and defientely not since I first learned I had it. I don't play with toys or anything so I don't know if the antibiotics just didn't work... or if I somehow was reinfected another way. Anyone have any clues to what might of went on?

I'm 19 and I worry about everything my mind is so focused now that i worry everything on my body every little symptom i feel my heartbeat all the time and have gotten every test done trust me whatever it is you name it ive gotten it done from the thalium ct scan of the heart to a mri of my brain. I just recently moved back home from a university and i wanan get my life back on track I just wanna know that why do i still feel these things even tho every doctor says im healthy and i just insist something is wrong some please help i want these breathing panic attacks to go away and just want a normal life.

i rented these mid-calf, patent leather boots for halloween. i wore them only friday night and now i am breaking out in hives from the knee down. do you think it was the boot material, the disinfectant that they use or previous renters (ew!) what is it and how do i get rid of it? ive showered a few times since then and havent done anything else to irritate the skin. im pissed. help!

I had a pap test last tuesday night which was my first ever so i'm a little paranoid. Well today will be exactly a week and I'm wondering if you think they would have called me by now if something is wrong. I know they call if somethings wrong because I had to sign a paper that they can leave a message if noone answers. For those who are experienced with pap smears or those who've had abnormal results only please not gotten anything in the mail, how long after your appt were your notified of your abnormal results?

a day before getting my period i felt like a pimple/lump under my breast. Im overweight with large breast. it was painful when I touched it, then when i raised my hand it would hurt. It felt swollen from the inside and it was a bit red on the outside. 1 day later i noticed a tiny black spot just in the middle of the redness but the swollen is reduced.
today it has been 6 days now, i dont feel pain only when i press on it and it got down to a size of pea. but the black tiny spot is still there, no redness. should i be concern? or is this cause of my period and sweating in a closed area?

Two days ago I discovered three red bumps in my mouth and NO I'm not sexualy active. With the bumps I had sore throat that would go away and come back again.
