b. asprin can help dissolve arterial plaques thus increasing arterial flow.
c. aspirin can dissolve blood clots that have already formed elsewhere in the body.
d. asprin helps relieve the pain associated with a heart attack

Aspirin simply put makes platelets less sticky(prevents platelet aggregation) this is important during a heart attack when you have narrowing of a blood vessel, some lumina trauma and dont want platelets forming a clot and stopping blood flow.

It doesn't help 'during' a heart attack but taken daily it can prevent one by thinning the blood, thus giving less of a chance for an embolism to form.
