No. Accutane is taken orally.

There are some really good outcomes when using accutane, however, there can be HORRIBLE side affects also, including severe birth defects for woman who are pregnant. If a woman is pregnant or thinks she may be pregnant she should not take accutane.

I took Accutane for about a year when I was 16 years old. It was the BEST thing I ever used for my acne. I was extremely depressed while I was on it though and it make my skin very dry, but I have never found a better product for my acne then accutane. Some people have committed suicide while taking it, or tried to commit suicide though. It is a VERY powerful drug!

If you are going to use accutane then make sure you are fully aware of the side effects. If you start feeling depressed or suicidal stop taking the medication and talk to your doctor as soon as possible. Good luck!

No, not as of yet. They give you retinae to apply topically. Accutane was the WORST drug I ever took. I went through a 5 month course in the early 90's and I still have side effects that won't go away. Try something else unless this is a last resort.

No, however retin-a is a topical medicine that is good for acne. There is also adapalene which is similar to retin-a. Both are by prescription only. Stay away from accutane, it has been found to cause severe mental disorders with patients who have taken it. Stick with the topical meds and take a good multi-vitamin with some extra B complex. Of course, eat a well balanced healthy diet and stay away from fatty fast foods. Drink a lot of water.

no, it cannot. It is a pill that you ingest orally. I believe you use supplemental lotions/ointments though.
