When I get hives, I take a Benadryl. Maybe you could try that to get the redness and itchiness (if your hives itch like mine do) down?

You have a contact allergy to chromium. Chromium is used in leather. Put some cortisone cream on your legs and don't take any hot showers for a few days until it clears. I suggest you go to a dermatologist or allergist that does patch testing for chromium.
Perhaps you should get an antibiotic cortisone cream from your doctor in case its not the leather, but the germs inside the boot.

I don't think it is hives - that usually comes form something internal - but a contact allergy from something in the boots or a bacterial infection. There are anti itch creams - benadril makes a topical (the pills knock me out)

Hi there! I always break out in hives when I'm around cats, and I take a Benadryl to help with the itch. Just be careful if you decide to take one-they make me incredibly sleepy. Good luck!

I would agree that benadryl would work. Your allergy could be coming from the boots since you said you broke out when you started wearting them.
