I am a mixed-race female 20 years old, about 6-months ago I noticed a pinkish purple-ish bruise like patch on my leg over the following weeks a second patch grew next to it and became the same size...they are both about 6mm across . They do not fade when pressed.

Since that time they do not appear to have grown, i'm going to make a doctor's appointment this week for the patches and HIV test.

My last HIV test was in August last year and was negative.

I now believe my last sexual partner (a man) who I last slept with in February may have been bi-sexual, i've had not partners since then... but the thing is I don't know what the likelyhood is of this being KS is, if anyone knows their experiance would be appreciated.

my partner is a 45 year old male who has recently been diagnosed with AF. His is intermittent. I am very concerned about his health but he keeps telling me there is nothing to worry about, that's it's a minor inconveience.

I think it's more serious than that. Does anyone know anything about AF and it's long term affects?

Please don't tell me is impossible because i am not lying. Its been 3 years since i smoke and since i started i promised my self to smoke only 2 cigarettes at month. A doctor told me that i was not at risk of illnesses related to smoking. I basicaly smoke in a year what a heavy smoker smokes in a day. What do you think, im i at risk of cancer or other illnesses because of cigarettes? Oh and yeah i could quit anytime but i enjoy those 5 minutes of relaxing buzz cigarettes give to occasionally smokers.

the other medical condition is that he suffers from deep vein thrombosis in his leg which is kept in tight control with medication and checked fortnightly with blood tests. this aneurysm has given him limited vision in the eye. cannot seem to get any info on the web. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am 40 yrs old. Female, About 328 lbs (stable weight for several years). I have Lupus and Fibromylagia which cause me a great deal of pain.

The Fibro and Lupus are becoming a great disability and I know my weight isn't helping the issues at all. I am on about a dozen different meds a day just to function. I've tried to diet and I don't lose anything, not even water weight. I've been thinking for a few years about having the by-pass or lap band surgery but I'm really scared on so many levels.

Please share your experience and weather you would do it again or not. I'd even love to hear from family members of weight loss surgery patients, especially if they had/have Lupus and/or Fibro.

The water system in our town was contaminated when a sewer was routed into the water supply. What is safe? I have purchased water for drinking and cooking and doing dishes. What about doing laundry and taking showers? They say it will be a week before we can safely use the water again; is that true? My dishwasher has a sanitizing cycle. My last pap smear from April came back abnormal and I tested positive for HPV. I'm going back to have a second test done next friday as a 6 month follow up. I am so nervous. HPV causes cancer and because my pap test was abnormal does that mean I'm going to get cancer????

I'm 38 and female. I went to my gp last week with pain in my lower left pelvic area and they said I had a urinary tract infection.

Now a week later my symptoms aren't any better and the pain is pretty much my lower left side and up into my left side where the waist of your pants sit and also lower back pain on the left side. Pain is worse while sitting.

Now I'm afraid because the dr said he wanted me to come back in today - it could be a kidney stone. I've heard those are just horribly painful. While I'm certainly uncomfortable, it's not excruciating.

If you've had a kidney stone - does this sound like the symptoms you had?

We even took him to a dermatologist and had no luck with the expensive creams. We have used soapless soap. Perfume free wipes, and all kinds of vasoline, cortizone, etc. It's real splotchy and red. Can anyone give me some home remedies or something that might work?

There is one thing I don't understand:

You can catch chlamydia once by sleeping with someone who has the infection. .... But I read that it can be spread between you and your partner if you carry on having sex with the disease. This does not make sense to me. Once u have chlamydia from the first time u got infected how can u keep getting it everytime u sleep with your gf/bf after that???
