it's patches of rough, flakey, itchy dry skin on your body. Every winter I get a patch of it on my hands. Its a patch of red dry skin that itches like crazy, and the more I scratch it, the redder it gets. They sell creams for psoriasis. I use that and usually within a week it goes back to normal.

Psoriasis is a skin condition that starts with someones digestive system and diet. Many people have cured themselves with educating themselves with what triggers their outbreaks. There is some real in depth information on how Psoriasis starts, why it attacks certain parts of the body and how to treat it.
Bottom line, nothing will cure or prevent outbreaks other than changing your daily habits. For more info look into CUREZONE.COM and follow the forums.

Psoriasis is an inflammatory disease that manifests most commonly as well-circumscribed, erythematous papules and plaques covered with silvery scales. Cause is unknown, but common triggers include trauma, infection, and certain drugs. Symptoms are usually minimal with occasional mild itching, but cosmetic implications may be major. Some people develop severe disease with painful arthritis. Diagnosis is based on appearance and distribution of lesions. Treatment is with emollients, vitamin D analogues, retinoids, tar, anthralin, corticosteroids, phototherapy, and when severe, methotrexate, retinoids, biologics, or immunosuppressants.

sounds like psoraisis to me.. I have a tiny patch on my elbow.. Doesn't get any worse or any better.. doesn't spread.. Been there for years..
I belive it is caused by something problem with the skin cells that causes them to multipy much more than they're supposed to, leaving constant layers of dead skin that flakes off..
