I can't even imagine the pain you must be going through. I'm really sorry to hear this.
Your dog had a wonderful life with you for 16 years and had a loving owner and home. Both you and your dog are very luck to have had each other in their life.

That is such a hard question. I'm sorry, I don't think I have any advice for you because I don't know how to start getting over something like that. I know exactly how you feel; it has happened to me, but I still can't tell you how to get over it and go on, without seeing your beloved pet every time you turn around. I just wanted to say that, although I can't help you, I am so very sorry.

You have to let go and think of the cycle of life and death. We all will go through this process. Sounds like your dog was living beyond it's death date and was probably suffering. Be happy for your dog as it is out of pain and suffering and starting a new transition into another reality.

You thank God that your baby is not out of pain and misery. Think of your pup everyday and he will always be in your heart. Wait for six months or so and go find a new puppy to love. I'm sorry you lost your dog.

I'm so sorry you lost your dog.
How do you go on? With sorrow. With memories. Knowing that nothing lasts forever, not pets, not family, not lovers, not trees, not stones, not mountains.
Surely your dog had a good life and knew s/he was well-loved. Remember that. In time, it hurts less, I promise you.
