I have to buy new pillows and I was told that my pillows are causing my allergies to act up. Is there an alternative that I can get a really down feeling pillow without the dust mites?

Put pillow in an anti allergen cover, problem solved.

Yeah, dust mite covers will be your best bet. Do your research though, some of them aren't worth the money. Make sure that what you get isn't plastic or you will drive yourself nuts with the crinkling noise every time you turn your head.

this sounds really daft, but put your pillows in the freezer, I suffer from asthma and was told to do this by my GP and low behold it really helps, i put them in the freezer once a week over night (I have spare ones) and it has really helped my asthma

Hope this helps
