I am trying to decide if I will get the flu shot this year, but don't want to do so if there will be a shortage as in recent years. I would prefer that those individuals with greater need than myself get the shot. Any idea how the supply is looking this year?

I have heard of no flu vaccine shortages. We already have our stock in, and there are plans in the near future for public vaccinations. If there was a shortage, we wouldnt start public vaccinations.

Also, to the poster who said it increases your risk of getting the flu. Your wrong.

I had my Flu shot almost at the start of September. I am what they term in the 'at risk' group as I have Arthritis. Usually they vaccinate all those in the 'at risk' group first, so by now, start of October, it really is a first come first vaccinated service. As long as they have enough to cover the 'at risk' group, whatever is left is it, so my advise go for it ASAP.

I also have not heard of any pending shortages. In fact, I think precautions are being taken this year to insure that.

I asked the same question a few days ago with no good responses. If you find out, let me know.

I heard the flu shoot increases your chance of getting the flu.
