Well, I dont have fmg, but I know that there are many different medications prescribed, from opiates for the pain, muscle relaxants, antidepressants, benzodiazepines, anticonvulsants. How its treated would probably depend on what the doctor thinks, since there are a lot of different approaches since its a pretty variable condition. It would probably be best to not "expect" anything in particular, and, well after you go to your appointment, you'll have a lot more info.

They gave me 2mgs of Valium to take at night to relax my muscles. I was shocked VALIUM, thought that was given for Depression, but seems that is 'old hat'. I did try a few others first, but the Valium helped and then they gave me the new Lyrica, but I think that was for nerve pain. Together, they work well and I do not feel groggy. You might also want to invest in a egg crate mattress topper for your bed.
