My husband recieved a letter in the mail regarding his blood test results. The results said he has burr cells--abnormal red blood cells +1. What does that mean? We don't have any medical insurance so we can't just go and ask a Dr. He took the medical exam for a job and now he is very worried. Any information will help. Thanks!

My boyfriend gets really sick with allergies every year at this time. He takes Claritin and it seems to not be giving him any relief lately. He doesn't have insurance to go see a doctor. Every night he seems to get worse . His nose stops up so bad that he can't breathe. He's tried Vick's to open up his nasal passages and that doesn't work. Can someone recommend something over the counter that will give him relief.

About 2 years ago my doctor found that I have an elevated white cell count by chance I was there for something else, so I was referred to a hematologist he gives me a cbc every 3 months to monitor it and it always ranges from 12,000 to 15,000 up and down, now he is suggesting that I have a bone marrow biopsy. I am scared and worried, this doctor tells me very little of what he is thinking he is very quick, I don't feel comfortable when I go, its like I forget to ask questions, maybe I don't want to hear the answer I don't know.

I came into work this morning (something I really didn't want to have to do) and my boss is now complaining that she is feeling unwell, she's also pregnant. Could she have caught bronchitis off of me in such a short period of time, i.e. five hours???

I suspect there is more than just diet involved. Everyone I know has the opposite problem and takes potassium pills. For the fourth time in a year I am being called into the Dr. for high potassium levels.

I accidentally came across this thread on this very board:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061130173426AARLVhg

... I was absolutely sickened by it.
The fact that not only was that person allowed to post about Autism in the "disease" board, asking for a "cure" for it and talking about it like it was some sort of malady or fault..... but then the responses they got likewise spoke with exactly the same revoltingly prejudiced attitude.

As an Aspergian myself, and a representitive of the Autistic community... I request that something be done to change this kind of attitude. We are not disabled, diseased or otherwise malformed. In many ways, Autistic people are in fact superior to neurotypicals, and have capabilities the average person could never dream of. No self-respecting Autistic person would ever want to be cured of that which sets them apart from the rabble.

Autism is not a "disease" to be "cured"!
Autism is an improvement to be encouraged!

Im a diabetic who keeps her sugar under control fairly well. My problem is my feet hurt all the time. My job requires me to be on my feet all the time so it would be understandable if my feet would be sore after work, but they hurt all the time! Iv'e had foot massages and soaked my feet even with epsom salt but nothing seems to work. On my days off they just throb. I know diabetics are supposed to take good care of their feet. They don't burn or tingle just hurt especially the bottom part of my foot. My friend gave me an ultram and that seemed to help the pain. What else can I do? Please help!

He's had it for about a week now..and instead of getting better it seems to have gotten worse. He's in a lot of pain from the rash. any suggestions on what to do, any other creams that will work better..any advice what so ever would be appreciated.
