I came into work this morning (something I really didn't want to have to do) and my boss is now complaining that she is feeling unwell, she's also pregnant. Could she have caught bronchitis off of me in such a short period of time, i.e. five hours???

I once suffered from Chronic Bronchitis. I would suffer sometimes 3 to 4 times per year! Usually when there was a major change in the pressure outside (I live in the north, and the temperature spikes and dips do wonders to chronic sufferers of bronchitis!). Each time I would get horrible hacking coughs, hoarking up green phlegm..it was so frustrating!

The key to getting rid of your bronchitis is to find a way to completely eliminate the germs that are causing all the phlegm and irritation leading to your hoarking cough and heavy breathing. Keep reading to learn how to do kill these germs!!

wouldn't that depend upon the immune system? i was caught in the bad snow and ice storm many years ago with little more than a sweater and light jacket. i was in my car but when it was stuck in a snow drift, i got out and went the rest of the way by public transit. i had been taking vitamins and eating good stuff so when i got little more than wet feet and slight chills, first i was surprised but then it made sense. my body wasn't ready to accept anything more than what i got. others? they were out for a day or two. bronchitis is a weakness within the bronchial air sacs and general lung area. if your weakness is there...? she could be experiencing other things but also could be coming 'down' with what causes bronchial disturbances, maybe! she is pregnant so when you are, you are available for anything loose. that is definitely time to keep up vitamins, etc.

Bronchitis, an inflammation of your airways, usually viral of origin, does not spread...It can also be of chemical origin e.g. smoking, smoke inhalation due to pollution etc. Maybe your boss was just unwell, without you having anything to do with it.

Unless you've had antibiotics for 48 hrs. you are contagious. Anyone who are susceptible can catch it. It will be worse for her as she cannot take antibiotics or drugs to relieve the problem. However, you may recommend to her Airborne which is composed of natural herbs and vitamins that may boost her immune system. See website below.

Next time, you are sick, stay away from people.

Very unlikely - maybe she's caught the original cold that caused your bronchitis (it usually starts with that).

I think most viral based illnesses take 3-5 days.. not hours... most likely it's just because she's pregnant... hormones and all. If she's sick.. it's not from what you exposed her to today most likely.. but what she was exposed to at the start of the week.
