all herpes viruses are transmisable which includes chicken pox, Mono, HSVi and HSVII the methods of transmission is different for each.
Many people have HSVI - oral herpes also called cold sores or fever blisters - which can be passed from sharing a glass from one to another.
There is no treatment for herpes viruses - their are treatments for the outbreaks of herpes viruse infections once you have them. There is a vaccine for shingles and chicken pox out there and a vaccine in phase III trials for HSVII

There are actually 8 different kinds of the herpes virus. The herpes virus is responsible for cold sores (oral herpes), genital herpes, chickenpox, mono, shingles, and some other illnesses. Every one of the herpes virus is contagious. Herpes can be spread by sex, or any kind of DIRECT skin to skin contact. When most people talk about "herpes" though they are usually referring to cold sores or genital herpes.

Herpes can be treated, but there is NO cure. Herpes is a virus and there are no cures for viruses.

When kids get the chickenpox and it "goes away" it never really completely rids itself from the body. The virus just becomes suppressed in the body. This is why some people get shingles as adults. It's basically the chickenpox flaring up again which causes shingles in adults.

I got identified with herpes virus (type 2) about three yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I understand lots of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/nxX7s everything improved.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This method provided the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

There is no cure for herpes and there is also may types of herpes.

It does not matter if you have them or not but it is good to understand and educate about them.

There is a lot of info if you just search herpes either on here(yahoo answers) or search google.

There's a lot of confusion about herpes out there. One reason is that there are two types of herpes, caused by two similar viruses. One type is herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and the other type is herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2). Both types of virus are very contagious.

These viruses can cause oral herpes and genital herpes. A herpes infection on or in the mouth is called oral herpes. An infection in the genital area is called ... yup, you guessed it — genital herpes. Both HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be sexually transmitted.

Oral and genital herpes sores look very similar but occur on different parts of the body. Most oral herpes infections come from HSV-1 and most genital herpes infections come from HSV-2. These viruses are pretty common — about 254 million Americans have gotten herpes through oral contact, and about 45 million Americans have gotten herpes through genital contact.
