My god son has type1 diabetes. He is eleven and has three injections a day plus a Lantis at night. My friend weighs all the food and how much carbohydrate is in the food depends on how many units of Insulin she gives him. This is a new regime and she is absolutely convinced that he is allowed as much sugar as he likes as long as he takes a higher dosage of insulin to compensate. His blood sugar levels are regularly in the twenties and I am worried that she is doing him long term damage. I am positive that diabetics are only allowed sugar as a special treat or when they are hypo. Please can someone who knows answer this question. The hospital are considering pump therapy because they cannot work out the problem. I think its the sugar please help!!!!

There once was a woman who woke up one morning,
looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?"
So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"H-M-M," she said,
"I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?"
So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said,
"today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did and had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair
on her head.
"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything.

My mother had a triple bypass in April and then had a heart attack sometime last week. The tropinin lvls are high, and theres minor damage to the heart.

She is young, 46, and is going through a lot so Im just trying to get information.

She's getting angioplasty on Friday since they gave her blood thinners she has to wait, and theyre going to put stents in.

Are the chances of having a major heart attack after having a small one, getting treated and a new procedure to help? Is the risk high?

I had pretty bad acne when i was in middle school & it pretty much cleared on it's own but now i'm having new skin problems that i don't no how to deal with... it's as if all of the pores on my face are clogged! it causes my face to be very rough as if i have dry skin but i don't its actually very oily... i hardcore exfoliate whenever it gets built up too bad with a dry cloth... i scrub so hard that it basically extracts all of the dirt & oil in my pores... on the first day my skin is super soft & smooth(after it gets over the redness & puffines of course) but then i get peely dead skin & over production of oils which may cause a breakout... so my question is how can i prevent my pores(which are huge btw) from becoming clogged in the first place?

I really care about someone who has genital warts and we have not had sex, but if we do I will probably become infected because it is very contagious to touch even with condoms. I have fallen in love, but I'm scared of being infected. What should I do? Is it possible to make this work?

I want to do something for Breast Cancer Awareness month and I talked to our Student Activities Coordinator said we could sell pins for $1 and then donate the money to the American Cancer Society or something like that. I'm not sure if we'd be allowed to buy stuff to sell so I'm looking for a company that would "give" us the materials. Any ideas?
