Yes, but it's more usual for the elderly to die from it (and despite what kids say, 40 isn't elderly).
If you know you have pneumonia then I assume you've been to a doctor who likely prescribed anitbiotics (bacterial pneumonia is the most common type). If so, then you should be feeling better very soon. Don't worry and just get some rest.

Usually, no. but if you have other health conditions, especially respiratory conditions, it can be very dangerous.
My mother and mother in law died, both with pneumonia being a main cause of death. however, both were well over 60 and had other issues .
it is important you be under a doctor's care and follow hiis instructions.
Good luck

Yes, this can be serious. Follow doctors instructions. You need some rest . eat healthy / do not diet / but do not over eat. all food groups. take antibiotics / meds as prescribed.
you should make a full recovery but do keep your follow up appointments with doctor. any problems call doctors office or go to immediate care.

yes, however teh chances of you dying from pneumonia are very low, unless you have extreme asthma or chronic bronchits and/or have and autoimmune disease or AIDS....if clear from all those you'll be fine, and when i say extreme asthma, i mean EXTREME like where you are hooked up to an oxygen tank....o and also if u have cancer of teh bone marrow or of the blood, pneumonia might kill you.
