bloodshot left eye, water coming out of it...whats wrong??

Question

this morning i woke up with a really blood shot left eye...it was fine for the first hour i was up, however then water (like tears) just started coming out...it has been like that all day now, and its a bit sore its just hurts when i rub my eye and when i look up to the sky i find it really hard and i have to squint. my mum thinks its conjunctivitous because a girl at school had it just 2 days ago and i was sitting near her in class. does this sound like conjuntivitous?? because there is no pus or anything... or does the pus come a day or two after you get it?

Sounds like conjunctivitis to me!! There isn't necessarily pus with conjunctivitis anyway - i had it in both eyes recently they were just bloodshot and watery. Stop touching your eye!!! It will probably spread to your other eye but still try to keep your hands away from your eye. Wash your hands often and don't use face washers that other people might use

EDIT: Am, pink eye is the same thing as conjunctivitis

It could very well be an eye infection, like your mother thinks. Eye infections are very contagious, so you should avoid touching it and wash your hands after touching it so you don't spread it to your other eye or someone else. Also, see a doctor.

You have the pink eye which is very contagious pus usually don't come out of it unless you have let it go for a long time.you can also spread it to your other eye.so see your doctor if you want to get rid of it.

first, rinse your eye with cold drinking water. preferbly from a water cooler. that immediatly reduces the swelling and the redness... when u feel a little better go to ur doc!

Go to the doctor & see if you have pink eye. Pink eye is highly contagious.

you may have got some grit or something that may have cut your eyeball or it is conjuctivitus, Go see a doctor and get some drops.....
