I used Aldara to treat my genital warts and it took about 5 weeks for them to completely go away.

I got really frustrated about the 3rd week and called my doctor who told me to just keep using it for a couple more weeks.

If these creams don't work you might need to try something else. The creams don't work for everyone.

The doctor might suggest applying medication at the office. This is done by the doctor, is done in several visits and can be pretty expensive. Some of the medications that can be used include: Podophyllin resin (Podofin), Intralesional (injected into wart lesion) interferon, Fluorouracil (Efudex, Fluoroplex), and Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) or bichloroacetic acid (BCA).

A person can also have surgery to remove genital warts by freezing (cryosurgery), burning (electrocautery), or laser treatment. Surgery is occasionally used to remove large warts that have not responded to other treatment.

Normally 2-4 weeks from what I've read. However, it depends on the cause of the warts (HPV vs Genital Herpes).

you need to go get it freezed off with Nitrogen from your primary care physician or a dermatologist. They can also burn it off, or cut it off. But to insure that it won't come back in the future it's best to kill the root. One treated, it'll take a few days to notice anything(s) disappear. It's a slow process to remove because it was a slow process for it to get there.

they don't disappear. You need to get them removed. The medication just stops new ones from forming. Good Luck.
