I have a professor who really pushes that the HPV vaccine should be given to men. Her reason are:

Men can get it from women, and it can be spread (by oral sex) to the mouth, larynx, and lungs. The virus may cause warts even if it doesn't lead to cancer -- these may be genital warts or warts of the oral cavity and respiratory track. Unfortunately, the problem of laryngeal, tracheal, and bronchial warts is overlooked due to the focus on cancer, but the effect on the air way can become quite debilitating or life-threatening (often ruining voice and sometimes becoming fatal in the trachea, bronchi, and lungs due to blockage of airflow). Its unknown if it cause repirator cancer, but seen as possibe (since it infects those area). The vaccine is aproved for men.

This all makes sense to me. Also, men who don't become infected can't pass it to women.

Yet its pushed only as womans' vaccine -- any ideas why?

"Hey saw your post to a diabetic sock question. You should check out www.(namewitheld).com and click on their diabetic socks link. I am a diabetic myself and need wide socks for my swollen feet. These socks they sell are the best ive ever tried. Highly recommend them to you to try."

The reason I find this odd is that I didn't post an answer to a diabetic socks question. I have no particular interest in them.

Do you think someone is trying to do a little spam and advertising, perhaps?

I've suddenly started to get dreadfull dandruff! Maybe the change from very natural shampoo to normal supermarket brands started it? Now I bought Fructis anti-dandruff shampoo, but its not much use! I havn't had time to go to the health food store to buy the natural stuff, is their any other solution?

My friends and I have came across men in our lives that just could not use a condom because they immediatly lose their erection. I was wondering if this is actually true that some men just can't use condoms?

I have only had sex once, without a condom. She says she is clean but i dont know.

It has been 3 months and I have been goign pee a lot and it has been dripping.

I have no cold sores or blisters or warts on my penis. My balls sometimes though are sore and maybe im just paranoid but I think I see little white dots near the outer ring of the penis.

I have very very light skin and so i am very cautious of sun burns. I havent been burned in 3 years (not even just a little) Well I just got burned 2 weeks ago, it was so depressing. Anyway, the burn went away and i am a little darker.

I am concerned becasue there is this thing on my back (shoulder) at first it just looked like I was peeling but its STILL there. Its all red and brown around it, its almost looks like a bruise. Well i do have a mole on my lower back but it looks ok but it a little bit bigger than normal...do you think i am ok? or could it be skin cancer?

To get over a minor cold? (Minor runny nose, itchy throat/cough)

I mean a medicine that actually helps you get better and recover, not a medicine to just cover-up the symptomes.

I just got over Bronchitis about 6 weeks ago. It was rough and felt like I was hacking up a lung. To this day whenever I take a deep breath or yawn I have an uncontrollable urge to cough. it happens about 2 or three times a day. When it happens it feels like the lining inside of my throat is cracking. Other than that the throat is fine. It is not sore or anything. I can eat and drink just fine. I figure my lungs are ok too as I can run a mile or two and breath just fine. anybody out there know if this is just a normal symptom of bronchitis recovery.

I had some blood work done because I have multiple swollen lymph nodes, I was tired, and I had sore muscles.
The blood work came back positive for something called "valley fever."
aside from a little tired, occasional headaches, sore muscles and swollen lymph nodes... I feel fine.
So I was a little freaked out when I read on the internet that you could die from this, and that there's a "Valley Fever Survivors" web page.
Am I going to be really sick and possibly die? I'm only 17 and I feel pretty healthy...

I had chest pain today and eventually went to the hospital. Other symptoms were pain in my upper lefthand back and more pain with movement. I did have a bit of sweating and a heavy feeling when I got up. Symptoms would increase when I exerted myself. They did the normal blood work and my D-dimer test showed a positive, somewhere in the middle is what the nurse said. I had a VQ scan that came back as a low possibility of clot in the lung, but it wasn't negative. Tomorrow I am having a ultrasound on my legs.

If they don't find anything, should they be doing anything else? I've read a little bit about it and it seems like there could a clot from somewhere else possibly, or even another underlying disease.

I can't imagine that this chest pain is just a fluke. This is not something that is common for me. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a 14 year old boy and I have a lump in my chest right under my left nipple. I was just wondering if men can get breast cancer because I know that 2 of my aunts had cancer and my grandma died of cancer. Also is cancer always in the form of tumors? Thanx
