"Hey saw your post to a diabetic sock question. You should check out www.(namewitheld).com and click on their diabetic socks link. I am a diabetic myself and need wide socks for my swollen feet. These socks they sell are the best ive ever tried. Highly recommend them to you to try."

The reason I find this odd is that I didn't post an answer to a diabetic socks question. I have no particular interest in them.

Do you think someone is trying to do a little spam and advertising, perhaps?

I got the "Based on your questions, you'll really like this new cell phone" one myself, directly through the Yahoo Answers email link. As anybody who knows my persona on here knows, I rarely ask questions -- and NEVER about cell phones. So, yes, someone is going through profiles, finding the email links that are open, and using them for spamming purposes. I forwarded mine to the YA team at y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (missing 'e' is deliberate) with a note letting them know what happened and I let them take care of it. Spammer gone.

Mr. Peachy, saw the ad on the questions. I answered with "you aren't supposed to be advertising on this site, against the policy." That is the last I saw or heard from them. Sounds like spam to me.

No, haven't gotten that one.

I despise Spam so much, that can't even get started thinking about it.
