I don't see how it would . But I'll tell you something that DEFINITELY will : Try to bring down your weight !

Drinking water , if it could have any effect , it would RAISE your BP . Thats why WATER PILLS are given to lower blood pressure .
Try to do more AEROBIC exercise , that will decrease resting blood pressure , independent of weight loss .
Also avoid SMOKING and ALCOHOL . Their effect on blood pressure is almost IMMEDIATE . Meaning as soon as you start smoking or drinking , the blood pressure will actually rise noticeably .

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I have never heard of water doing that but it couldn't hurt to try it. I did hear that soda may raise blood pressure so if you drink soda maybe you should switch over to water. The best way to lower your blood pressure is to adopt a low fat diet and introduce exercise into your daily routine.

I don't think so but your doctor should be able to help you on this. if you need to be under midi cation he is the best one to go to. eat a healthy diet stay away from red meat eat fish veggies and chicken . Salads are good for you fresh beans from the pot are also good and don't drink alcohol or beer. Go for jogs or walks how is your cholesterol level? can it also be high most likely it may be. no chocolate's but lot's of oatmeal no whole milk but skim milk, no cheese and nothing deep fried. See your doctor and ask him the question to help cure the problem and prevent from ever coming back. There is a solution for every thing. Ask him about a baby bayer a day see if it's right for you.
Good luck!

No, it actually can have the opposite effect. It depends on your sodium intake, e.g. lots of sodium = lots of fluid retention = hypertension.
