Hi, what you have may just be dry flakey skin on your scalp as dandruff is a medical condition which is or can be quite bad. Dandruff can be caused by shampoo but it is caused alot by diet. You need a good shampoo that will moisten your scalp and soften the skin to minimise flakiness. Supermarket shampoos are really bad as they are full of chemicals and crap but if you have to choose one then head and shoulders is very soothing and moisturising.

This is due to dry skin, which flakes off. Giving the appearance of dandruff.
Use anti-dandruff shampoo like Head & Shoulders, or T-Gel or anything other that works specifically for the scalp.
My suggestion is, so long as it cleans your hair and scalp, go with the natural stuff. This way your hair is still clean but you won't have flakes.
Hope this helped.

i could be that you have a scalp condition what ever you do , do not use head & shoulders my doctor told me in his own words "its evil stuff" try nizoril , and try baby shampoo ,you may have had an allergic reaction to the brand shampoo you are using. if you have this condion along with itching go to the docs. OR it could simply be that you are not washing out the soap properly, that in itself can course dandruff. hope this helps. i know coz i suffer from a form of dermotitus on the scalp and tis itchy and scabby. my doc gave me special shampoo and betnovate which has helped but coz of the allergic reation i had when i streaked my hair ,i will never be rid of this contion, sucks ay

It's dry scalp and the skin starts flaking when it is too dry (like peeling). Get an anti-dandruff shampoo

Dandruff maybe caused by a yeast, stress or hormonal imbalance.
Some natural remedies are: massaging jojoba oil or aloe vera onto the scalp before shampooing, adding a bit of tea tree oil or crushed, uncoated aspirin tablets to your shampoo.
Head & Shoulders Intensive Formula is my favorite dandruff shampoo.

I used to have dandruff. Now I went to my dermatologist and got Selenium Sulfide Lotion shampoo.
This thing cures dandruff. Period. Prescription strength. Use it for about 2 weeks and your dandruff will be gone for months.

sometimes it depends on the environment and pollution. or maybe your shampoo is not good for your hair, change your brand. or maybe your putting something on your hair that is also not good. i encountered same problem because of the hair gel im using, i switched to wax and it has good effect on my hair.
