I recently had an ultra sound examination. Can cancer show up on this examination?
The doctor said that I had fatty tissues attached to my liver only(my torso and organs were thoroughly checked). Should I consider myself all clear?

It is claimed by a Bangalore based radiologist that he can cure osteoarthritis by using a new technology (Rotational Field Quantum Magnetic Resonance (RFQMR) technology) invented by him.

He claims that "this device focuses RFQMR beams on the affected joint. The beams alter the dynamics of the cell to activate and regenerate. This leads to stimulation of cartilage growth in case of degenerative diseases like osteoarthritis. The process of regeneration of tissues enhances mobility and improves the quality of life. The treatment is painless, safe and scientifically proven through successful clinical trials involving more than 500 cases over the span of three years." (See his website http://www.sbfhealthcare.com/index.html for details). Is it correct or is it yet another quackery?

before my wife's death june 18 2006 - I was on a minimal dose of blood pressure meds, then m y blood pressure kept going up and up - it was starting to come down some and then my dog died August 8th and it's been fairly high since
I exercise daily-I usually exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day of cardio and I usually get an hour or so. I also follow a low fat vegan diet.but now I live alone, my family is out of state(need help to move), only 3 people have stayed in touch with me since my wife died 2 out of state, and the other is out of town as well about 2 1/2 hours away - I go to the gym almost daily - I still am on disability - I'm still doing physical therapy - but I have no social support here, I do try but everyone vanished and it takes time for me to get to know new people.I've been to a grief counselor since november, grief groups didn't work for me - women call each other, nobody supported me,so why have men come? I haven't been able to cry-all bottled up inside.. thanks

So lately my dad has been having trouble breathing. Doenst happen all the time. But they did all the tests on him, shot iodine in him and looked in his chest and stuff like that, and they still cant find anything wrong. They simply just say its asthma. He had asthma when he was younger...Tonight he developed this weird cramping in the back left side of his neck, and it shot upward into his head. We called 911 because he looked in bad pain, but after like a minute, it was gone. Completely just dissapeared. Were on edge because of everything he is experiencing. Could it have just been a cramp in the neck or what? He does overexagerate at times, so we dont really know exactly how severe some things are. Should we be worried about something?

Ok well my fiance is getting chills, sore throat, stuffy head and her brother just got bad chills from out of nowhere. I was wondering what this could be? I live in Georgia(U.S.A) the temp. here is usually in the 80's during the day and lower 70's at night. So I wouldn't think the flu. What is it?

Hey,

I lost my father to bone cancer last year, it was very quick as he had bone cancer in his knees hips, spinal cord and his left shoulder. the hospital gave him radiation treatment but that just made his bones weaker and eventually it gave him a heart condition.

I looked after my dad while he was sick and also when he was first diagnosed with Kidney cancer ( it turned into bone cancer 3 months later )
because my mother had walked out on us. ( us being me and dad )

and then she came back home, and wanted to know why i was still hanging around. I watched my dad die, and even tho its been a year my mom is blaming dads cancer on me..

even tho he died from the heart condition not the cancer itself.

And she has been saying this for a year now, and my sisters have turned on me, and they dont want to talk to me either.

Do you think that someone like me could give another person cancer and "make" them die from it?

We haven't had sex - yet. He has the type that does not cause cervical cancer. I hear that condom use doesn't prevent it's spread completely. On the other hand I hear that like 80% of people will get it at some point in their lifes and that most people can clear it on their own and that some people don't even have any symptoms. I really like my boyfriend and while the relationship has not gotten to that level yet it hopefully will soon and I'll need to decide if I am going to have sex with him even though I could/will likely get HPV. I'm too old for the vaccine. Thoughts? Stories? What to do?

ever since about 2 weeks ago I notice that whenever I bend down, there's this bump on the bottom of my knee. the bump is about the size of a large mosquitoe bite..doesn't itch, doesn't feel any pain at all.

but I only see the bump there when I'm bending down, when I stand back up its gone.

what is it?

I smoked almost 10 years ..almost every day & was able to put them down like that. No hypnosis, Zyban, patches or gum. I also didn't turn into a porker. If anything I lost more weight. Same with coffee & liquor which I rarely touch either.

I absolutely HATE HATE HATE any kind of smoking or drugs !!.. its difinately not my thing!, plus im really irritated by people smoking around me because no one in my family smokes at all.. so i've never grown up with it.. but im just wondering what the differences are between cigarettes, cigars, prime times.. and what are prime times really? are they cigars or cigarettes and what is in them(chemicals, nicotine)?... because one of my friends wants to try one.. and im desparately trying to convince her not to, and i need some cold hard facts!

Would this size tend to indicate cancer. The Dr. doing the colonoscopy tatooed it in case they have to do further surgery, so I'm kind of worried. It was not sessile but the mushroom type. Any Docs or nurses out there that have seen lots of polyps that could maybe give me some idea? Of course awaiting biopsy results.

They did a cat scan, and found nothing wrong with my appendix, my ovary, and the kidney (although he did say the cat scan may have missed a kidney stone but that was only a slim chance). All of my tests also came back negative. Any ideas? How do I tell if it is just a pulled muscle? I can't even breathe without pain!!!
