ever since about 2 weeks ago I notice that whenever I bend down, there's this bump on the bottom of my knee. the bump is about the size of a large mosquitoe bite..doesn't itch, doesn't feel any pain at all.

but I only see the bump there when I'm bending down, when I stand back up its gone.

what is it?

Why is it that everytime people find something 'different' they assume cancer?

And why is it that they then trust other idiots on the internet to make a diagnosis without seeing whatever it is more than their own Dr?

It could be cancer, it could be an insect bite, it could be a birth defect yu have just never observed before, it could be bruising, it could be scar tissue, it could be a pimple..........

I could go on and I have no medical qualifications!

If you are worried, see your Dr, someone would need a full history and examination to make any sort of reasonable diagnosis.

probably not cancer

I have something similar called Osgood Schlatter. Completely harmless, but need to wear an elastic knee brace sometimes.

i cant think of the legal term for it but it could be a boil or a infected hair. it always best to have something like that checked out but it doesnt sound serious.

might just be a weird bone formation or something. i'd ask the doctor, just because it might be something, that could cause you problems someday, but your knee is a pretty weird place to get a tumor.
