My dad had lung cancer. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with it. It took only 3 months from the time of discovery to the time of his death. Chemo therapy was too late as the cancer cells has already spread rapidly to his lungs and eventually his brain.

I had thyroid cancer. It was found very early on, so I'm guessing within the first year that the tumor grew? It was papillary carcinoma. It was treated with surgery and radioactive iodine. I was diagnosed 5 years ago, and even had 2 healthy children afterwards. I'm pretty sure I beat it. But with cancer...you never really know. You should always be prepared to fight it in case it comes back.

Yes.
Many including myself!
A wide variety of cancers.
One fought for 50 years before it beat her, another lasted less than 6 months from diagnosis to death, many of us are still winning the battle.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/JWqnt
Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.
Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.
Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.
