I have a back molar the recently started a slight throbbing off and on. Odd thing is that it is not sensitive to cold or heat...that I know of. It is slightly sensitive to cold air but only after long periods of exposure. I feel a cavity, it doesn't feel wide but I know it can still go deep. It is not sensitive to tapping. I have a dental appointment in 2 wks but in the meantime I am worried about the outcome. Does it "sound" like I may need a root canal more or possibly just a filling?

I had that laser filling done with white composite fillings back in '99, those fell out very quickly. I dont even know when they fell out, but anyway of course the teeth were just open for problems so I got cavities again. I had fillings put in my first and second molar bottom right #'s 30 & 31 December 20, 2006. My teeth are hurting like crazy. Sensitive to the touch, crunchy foods, hard foods you name it.Now I also have a silver filling in my first molar bottom left # 19 no problem, a lil sensitive to very cold things of course but NOOOOOOO big problem. Is there something wrong? Has anyone else experienced this? If so what did you do about it. I just checked out this website where all these people were complaining about these white composite fillings. check this out. http://ehealthforum.com/health/topic15411.html

I have heard that brushing youre teeth with soap is good for teeth. Is that true? If it is, should I use liquid soap or bar soap?

I know, I know I know (lol) that appointments are generally made for the next week or two to get "fitted' for the real crowns to have placed.
but my question is (because of finances) -- is there anyone out there who decided to leave the temps in for as long as they could and how long did you have the temp crowns in there for?
Or did you end up regretting it, like if an infection developed or whatever?

I have a 8 year old lab/chow mix, his breath is horrible, it smells like a dumpster. I have had his teeth scaled six months ago and brush his teeth weekly. He eats hard food. The vet said that his teeth look good. He does however have some plaque on the back teeth, but not much. What should I do??

My tooth is sensitive....slight throbbing. I have 2 wks before my appointment. In the meantime I'm concerned. Do I need a root canal or just a filling. It is not sensitive to heat, just to cold wind.... Please look at my last question.... I am hoping a dentist or endodontist can tell me. It is not senstive to tapping. What does it sounds like I will need done?

I have a dentist appointment in 18 days. How bad could the cavity become in a span of 18 days? And, what do you think the cost of two small fillings would be?

Im presently having another root canal. My dentist does the old fashion way yet...which is fine by me but requires several visits instead of one. Every time he widens the root a bit more and then inserts some medicine for a couple days. Any ideas what type of medicine is put in there? From what he says he does it till he cannot detect any more infection or bad tissue in the tooth, so I take whatever is put in there before I leave is killing infection?

Hi there,

I had a root canal done on Monday. Had one before, so I wasn't worried. My tooth is very infected. I was scheduled for an hour appointment. When my hour was up, he sealed my tooth, even when there was much more to be drained. Is this normal?

I woke up in the middle of the night in agony, I have taken T3's and Advil to help w/ the pain. Also I swelled up like a chipmunk, which he said might happen. Saw him again on Wednesday because of the swelling, he put me on antibiotics.

I am not schedule for my next root canal until Febuary, but I am concerned because I am going to be flying in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for reading.
