I have a dentist appointment in 18 days. How bad could the cavity become in a span of 18 days? And, what do you think the cost of two small fillings would be?

It more then likely won't get any worse. The cost all depends on the office and how many surfaces of the tooth the decay has affected. I'm a dental assistant and in our office for a 2 surface fill (each tooth has 5 surfaces) done with resin/composite(White filling) costs around 175 and it can go up from there and it all depends on where you live and what your offices fees are.

You've probably caught them before they got into the dentin if you don't have any pain. But in removing the decay some tooth structure around the cavity has to be removed also. So it could wind up in the dentin as the doctor excavates the decay and preps the tooth. It should be fine to wait until your next appointment, just keep them as clean as possible in the meantime and don't miss that appointment! Cost for procedures vary from dentist to dentist as well as state to state. Average cost for a single surface composite restoration is around $110.00 - $140.00. Hope I've been of some help to you. Good luck!

Just treat them with extra care, try to avoid chewing with the teeth, and most of all, AVOID THE SUGARS.
