I have a 8 year old lab/chow mix, his breath is horrible, it smells like a dumpster. I have had his teeth scaled six months ago and brush his teeth weekly. He eats hard food. The vet said that his teeth look good. He does however have some plaque on the back teeth, but not much. What should I do??

Dogs generally have terrible breath, there are a few products that help. But they can only do so much. There is a product called dog smog remedy b a company called happytails that you can add to their water that freshens their breath a bit. Breathbusters treats (in the market) works really well too.

Make sure that your dog isn't eating anything awful (non food) too.

Mix alittle bit of wet and dry food together, My vet told me the gravy in the wet food softens the plaque while the dry food scrapes it off.
Also monitor him seeing if he's eating other things around the house.

Try Greenies dog bones, they work well.
If that doesn't work schedule a teeth cleaning at your vet.
