Long story short: I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, and it was the worst experience of my life. Ended up with 2 dry sockets and had the sockets packed with no local. OWW! When I had the packing removed yesterday, the surgeon was in the room for a total of 2 minutes, and said that all was ok. When I rinsed with salt water today, a suture came out. Now I have a black hole behind my lower molar, and have the same immense pain coming from that socket as I did when I first had my dry sockets. After a couple of days with no pain, I am completely depressed to go back to this. I am taking tylenol and hydrocodone, which only takes the edge off the pain. For anyone who has experience with this: Is this pain bc my sockets are open again? Is there anything I can do about it, or do I just have to wait it out? Should I be washing this hole out after I eat? And how/with what? Or will simply washing my mouth with salt water take care of this? And how long does something like this normally take to heal?

I had unprotected sex 2 days before my period. From that, I received genital herpes and a few days later I took acyclovir (for the herpes), will the medicine make me be late for my next period or could I be pregnant, even though I did have my period 2 days after the sex?

My partner suffers from knee joint pain but refuses to take any painkillers as he says that masking the pain then carrying on as if there was no pain is dangerous. He just lets the pain limit his activities and reckons its his body telling him now far he can go. I asked my boss who is a pharmacist and he said he didnt know how to answer that.

Also a lot of people take anti inflammatories everyday semi long term just so they can continue working or doing their every day activities, which also seems wrong as what if they are doing more damage to themselves?

What are your opinions?

PS: im not after suggestions about my partners knee he is happy with his herbal remedies lol just wanna know your opinions about usage of painkillers

...have started browny green lumps on then.
Why are my knuckles crusting over like this?
I'm 15 years old.
My fists do get put through a hard time and my knuckles often get the skin ripped right off.
I also have a habit of cracking my knuckles, and yes and know I need to stop.

I dont know if this is how everyone feels but, when I wake up in the morning I am really nervous. My belly is constantly turning and I just want to move and get out of bed as quickly as I can. If Im working in the afternoon I am so nervous that sometimes I phone in sick.

If I'm not working I am constantly nervous about what other people are doing, for example where my friends are, am I missing out? And if they dont phone me then I get really upset and think that I have anoyed someone badly.

What do I do to cope with this nervousness? How can I do something productive as it's really making my life a misery.

Is my sleep habits effecting my health? I'm a full time student...i go to class 8a-12p then to work at my job as a security guard 2p-10p then study or go out with my friends who i rarely see as it is...sleep 2-4hrs then do it all over again. On Fridays i sleep til 3pm and then bartend 8p-2a then work again at 6am til 2p. I'm sure everyone knows how hard it is to pay bills let alone adding student bills too. I'm starting to feel sick and some nights when i'm free I go to bed at 6pm and sleep til my alarm goes off. I'm feeling like i'm starting to get depressed and run down. Other than cutting back on my hours and school is there any ways to help my body stay healthy and energized? I'm not talking caffeine or any of that. I want healthy ways...diet, sleep tips...etc....thanks!

1) ok for my first question, how old were you when you started masturbating (girls) im 13 and yes...sometimes i masturbate. i dont feel that guilty for doing it because its all natural and its not like it causes any harm.
2) ok for the second question, why do people think its so bad to tell pre-teens what masturbating is or how to masturbate? ive seen lots of questions about girls and how to masturbate but on all of them, there has only been about one answer that would acually tell them. why do people think its so bad to pleasure yourself when you are not doing harm to your body? this second question is mainly to the people that say something like "your too young to know" or something like that on someones question.

What foods/drinks should i consume or what medicines are there to trigger a menstrual period?
someone told me I should have a sort of cinnamon drink, but it turns out cinnamon delays periods. and i need to get mine started because it's been absent for 3 months now (and no, i am not pregnant or have an eating disorder. the absence of my period is due to stress).

so please, if anyone knows of anything that'll work (food, drink, medicine, etc.) to get my period going, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

p.s. i don't want to go to a gynecologist. so while you may be itching to throw out that piece of advice, please don't and answer the question. thanks again!

For the past 5 days, I've been stuffy & having large, bloody boogers in my nose. They're so big & so far up my nose that I have to dig far with my bare finger with a long fingernail. (Don’t mean to sound graphic) I can't breathe properly. My friend said she felt a swollen lymph node under my earlobe/behind my jaw. There's a swollen vein in my upper left nostril that's blocking my breathing, & I accidentally scrape the skin off my nose, trying to get the boogers out.

Also, is there a medical &/or proper term for the word "boogers"? It sounds quite like slang & informal.

Half my face, i guess is more "sculpted" than the other side.
Like it has a jaw line, but the other side doesn't.
What caused this?
I have no idea if I was born with this.
Is this normal?

Does anyone know if the means that Methadone will no longer be used as Pain management or can she still get it but in a different strength tablets? Who should she contact about this? Her doctor or pharmacist? Thanks!!

ok, so i know nowadays we have glasses and contacts to give us all better vision.

i wear contacts. i dont exactly know my vision, its definetely not 20/20 vision. but on my contacts prescription and everything it says -2.00 for my right and left eye.

If i were to keep wearing my contacts about everyday, Would it take years for my vision to go back to normal? or how long would you think it'd take?

should i consider getting laser eye surgery so that they can permanetely be 20/20 vision?

If you took (what I'm assuming is) a 9mm (I don't know much about guns...) and put it under your chin and pulled the trigger, would you die instantly? Like, would you feel ANY pain at all?

I'm not asking this because I want to kill myself or anything... My dad committed suicide in this manner in September and really wanna find comfort in the fact that he felt no pain when he did this...

Another question:

If someone with eye defect is regularly wearing glasses with appropriate power (only takes them off before bathing and sleeping), but discards them after a few weeks of wearing them and never wears glasses again, how will this person be affected?

Please answer both questions with proper explanation. I asked my dad this and he told me to put it here as he wanted to know too.
