1) ok for my first question, how old were you when you started masturbating (girls) im 13 and yes...sometimes i masturbate. i dont feel that guilty for doing it because its all natural and its not like it causes any harm.
2) ok for the second question, why do people think its so bad to tell pre-teens what masturbating is or how to masturbate? ive seen lots of questions about girls and how to masturbate but on all of them, there has only been about one answer that would acually tell them. why do people think its so bad to pleasure yourself when you are not doing harm to your body? this second question is mainly to the people that say something like "your too young to know" or something like that on someones question.

I first did it when I was 11. There is nothing wrong with it. The reason why people wont say anything because its a really embarrassing subject for some or most people. Its also considered imoral or impure in some religions and cultures. Dont feel guilty. Its great to know your body and what you like!

I think is because people in general believe that masturbating can lead to more "interactive" sexual behavior when this is an individual question. I mean that just because a young person is discovering and developing her/ his sexual feelings it does not mean it will inevitably lead to coitus. Many teenagers are ok with limiting their sexual activity to masturbation wating for college to party. I think parents need to have more confiandence in their kids and they should remember that it is important to teach discipline by example I remember my father saying " just because it feels right it does not make it right" as he did the right thing consitantly and it showed me how to do the right thing despite my feelings.

I was 11. (I know, I know). I've never felt guilty about it. It's natural, it's healthy, and it feels good.
Most people in this country are seriously uptight about all things sexual. They treat it like a dirty secret that can't be talked about, because they are not comfortable in their sexuality. It comes from our country's puritan roots and is perpetuated by religious people who believe that sex is sin in all forms that are not married and missionary to make babies. So we don't talk to our kids about masturbation or sex, because "if we educate them, then they'll go DO it!" Which is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure the D.A.R.E programs don't end in higher drug usage by kids who graduate from the program. A comprehensive sex education approached in a mature and honest way throughout the educational experience would prove far more beneficial in lowering teen pregnancy rates, getting kids to wait to become sexually active, reduce the spread of STD's, and make for happier, better adjusted people.

I sympathize with you. I think women's masturbation is most confused subject. And especially in young girls. No harm if gals of age of 13 and above masturbate if they know exactly how to do it and they are not causing any harm to themselves.
I will assure you that you are old enough to know how to do it and it is your birthright to do it !
