What foods/drinks should i consume or what medicines are there to trigger a menstrual period?
someone told me I should have a sort of cinnamon drink, but it turns out cinnamon delays periods. and i need to get mine started because it's been absent for 3 months now (and no, i am not pregnant or have an eating disorder. the absence of my period is due to stress).

so please, if anyone knows of anything that'll work (food, drink, medicine, etc.) to get my period going, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

p.s. i don't want to go to a gynecologist. so while you may be itching to throw out that piece of advice, please don't and answer the question. thanks again!

My friend has a problem. Its called PCOS. She takes Clomid. She is trying to get pregnant and been trying for a year now. I dont know if you just want to use this meds for getting pregnant or just to get your period. My other suggestion is please see a gynecologist. I know you dont to hear it, just to be on the safe side =)

If it is stress that is causing the absence of your period than perhaps you should be trying to remove or reduce this stress and see if that fixes the problem.

You can get birth control pills - which regulate your period - without seeing a gynecologist. I get my prescription from my GP.

Food isn't going to do it.
If stress is causing your lack of periods, then you should get less stressed!
