I have been trying to sleep every night, but I can't seem to sleep at all. I get drowsy and tired in the day, but don't sleep thinking it will let me go in the night but thats not working. I sometimes take a warm bath/ shower to see if that will help, no. I also work out even harder than before to see if that will help, no. Does anyone have a Idea without the help of a doctor, but maybe a doctors theory?

Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know.

- Ernest Hemingway, author and journalist, Nobel laureate (1899-1961)

Hemingway, who took his own life in 1961, knew his share of both intelligent people and of unhappiness. He lived through two world wars, the Great Depression, four wives and an unknown number of failed romantic relationships, none of which would help him to develop happiness if he knew how.

As Hemingway's quote was based on his life experience, I will base the following speculation on both my personal and my professional experience as a sociologist. Not enough study exists to quote on this subject.

Western society is not set up to nurture intelligent children and adults, the way it dotes over athletes and sports figures, especially the outstanding ones. While we have the odd notable personality such as Albert Einstein, we also have many extremely intelligent people working in occupations that are considered among the lowliest, as may be attested by a

i got cast with no need for surgery. broken wrist care info from er was basic & generic but not great & office that put cast on didnt send any printed info home on how to care for broken wrist. they just gave appt date for next thurs.
it been 14 yrs since i skated last & i'm not sure i'm getting on skates again maybe if i wear expensive wrist guards. i dont like the modern skate music much anyhow its ok but different.
by the way the percoset & ibuprophen are doing much for pain & i can barely feel the ice through cast when i apply ice fro 15min.
are there any natural anti inflammatories / pain killers to reduce swelling?
i'd try searching myself it would take forever with 1 finger besides computer posture aint best for broken wrist right now. lol.

hi. i have had impingement syndrome in both of my shoulders for the last year and a bit. i've been to over 10 physio therapy sessions and am doing the exercises on a daily basis. i'm 15 years old and play a lot of rugby. i can't do press ups or bench press any amount of wait. i really need this to clear up so i can build some muscle and play properly. does anybody have any ideas about what i can do to heal this?

I'm 20 and I have a bad receding hairline. Rogaine only works on the crown, it doesn't work on frontal hairloss. I have used shampoos since I was 18. My doctor won't give me propecia because he says it will mess with my ability to get an erection. I exercise regularly and do not use hair gel or wax. I might have elevated levels of testosterone but, I am not willing to take estrogen to combat the effect. Is there anything else besides surgery that would help me?

I have a few sprain injuries that ache from time to time. Two are from high school where I once sprained my ring finger (10 years ago) and my left ankle (9 years ago) and then the other is from a little more than a year ago when I sprained the top of my foot. Sometimes they ache, and my foot just downright hurts from time to time.

Anyone else experience this with old sprain injuries?

I went to the ER about my foot but not the other two cases if that helps.

its small lump. its maybe 1/10 of an centimeter.

its located near the vagina not inside the vagina. its no where near the labia majora. its painful when it is touch or when liquid runs thru it like urine.

there are no secretions like puss coming inside the vagina even on the lump. its is not smelly.

it is not itchy. STD must be ruled out. it only appeared a week ago after sex with a clean partner. sexually active.

no previous diseases on vagina. no family members had this disease.

One side of my inner labia is longer than the other. The fact that one is longer doesn't bother me at all, there's really not too much of a difference that you can see anyway. The problem though is that the longer one is pretty painful a majority of the time.

When I have my period and use tampons, I accidentally pinch the labia. When I wipe after using the restroom, that one just gets pulled a lot more from being longer. I don't actually feel this, but I imaging there's more pulling and moving of the longer one simply from walking and having my legs rub together.

All of this results in the labia being pretty sore most of the time. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Could it be from the arch supports I have to where. Or is something else just falling apart. Did not have this problem until I got some better shoes and arch supports that help control the plantar fasciitis problem. At first I just figured it was arthritis, but it's the muscles, tendons, ligaments, I don't know, surrounding my kneecap that hurt. Help..........and thank you.

I've recently gained abbout 7kgs (15pounds) in the last 2 months from being on the birth control pill Yasmin.

It's seriously affecting my well being and as well as dieting and excercising to get the weight off....I was wondering if going off the pill would help speed things up?

Any help would be appreciated
