Sometimes accompanied by unlikely bumps and itchiness, dry skin should be given attention earlier before it becomes a worst skin problem. DRY SKIN problems actually respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an all-natural cream that contains natural oils that gives soothing and glowing results.

In a more serious skin disease, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.

Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include lotions with natural-oil ingredients. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.

I have excema and thats what it sounds like. You should see a dr. to be sure. But try this first, get some hydrocortisone cream and some eucerin calming cream(in the lotion dept.) you can mix them 2gether-equal amounts or like I do, put a thin layer of the hydrocortisone and rub in good and apply the eucerin on top of it.It works for me and Ive tried everything.Good Luck! Oh, also use ivory soap and detergents w/ no perfumes or dyes!

Go to your GP, it might be eczema. If you have sensitive skin it could be that your washing powder gives you a rash, or maybe an ingredient in the moisturiser you use. Your doctor can give you a lot of advice though!

to be sure if you have a skin infection, it is best to consult a skin care expert or a dermatologist.

know that there are lots of factors that can rob moisture out of your skin like humidity, dry air and too much exposure to cold and hot weather. you can combat dry skin using an all natural skin care product to keep the skin moist all dry.

good nutrition and proper diet as well as healthy habits can keep the skin young looking and healthy. compliment with enough rest and sleep as well as, exercise and relaxation.

avoid smoking and alcohol for these can not only cause dry skin but skin aging as well. visit http://www.skinsosilky.com for more tips about good skin care.

I do not want to alarm you, but I believe it sounds like you have an infection of the skin, called scabies, which calls for medicated lotion from a doctor.

It is worth checking up on. I hope you do not have this....
it does sound like this infection.

ingrown hair? Its hard to tell what it is without pictures. Anyhow its maybe just your skin reacting to chlorinated water or something you sleep on that agitates it. Skin is skin. your probably just sensitive.
