I have had dental work from Jan - June 07. I was told about a draining abcess 5 months ago. I don't know how long infection was present. Have been sick on/off with food poisenting type symptons. I went to the Er and was treated and released. Blood culture returned positive for blood infection. 48 hours later hospital calls me to return. More blood cultures taken. Echocardiogram was taken and I was admitted with notes of mitro valve prolapse and possible Bacterial Endocarditis. Vancomyicin was given with reaction and stopped, then gentomycin was given. Lastly Nafcillin was given, but I also had a reaction. I was taken off IV. The hospital misplaced the echocardigram for 5 days. By the time the new blood cultures and IV are repeated then reads negative. After 8 days and a negative reading the insurance co boots me out. Priliminary yesterday says no vegitation. I am waiting for the final report. I still don't feel well.

I'm gay, but I've never been on the "receiving end". Somehow I've developed anal warts. I've been to the doctor a couple of times and he's frozen them...but they keep coming back. It's really embarrassing and I'm not sure what to do now. I guess I'll go back and get them frozen again. My question is having not had anal sex...how is it possible to have caught it? Do they ever stop coming back? Is it possible it is something else and my doctor (who is kinda young and doesn't seem to be familiar with this particular issue) was wrong?

what do they do? which colleges offer an ultrasound technologist program in Illinois? is an ultrasound technologist the same thing as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer? am i supposed to get a certificate? im interested in the type of job that specializes in looking at the baby in pregnant woman to see how its doing and stuff:)

In April of 2006 i had the Leep done after a abnormal pap and colposcopy. Now im 20 and when i go for my follow-ups my paps are all abnormal so to prevent me from having another Leep done she does Colposcopy and biopsy. now she said that i have CIN2 and its getting worse, she said it really needs to be treated. but she said that i am not be able to carry children if i get another one done. i really want children, i can't think of my life without a baby. my question is having u ever heard of or has anyone been through 2 leeps and been able to have a baby without early delivery and miscarriages?

My husband has stuttering problem since he was in grade 3. He is very good at his work and is well appreciated y his seniors. But cos of his stuttering problem he is been denied many opportunities to move forward. I feel bad for him, as he feels down every now and then cos of this. I want him to get over this feeling and get over the stuttering problem. He did try to go to a hypnotist once which helped him for a while, but later it was back to same. He has no confidence in seeing any therapist or anyone? Please help

I'm 18 (almost 19), and I recently (2 months) went on Paxil for anxiety. I want to stress that I DO NOT have depression and have never felt like this....

For the most part, it has been great.

BUT

I think its made me have suicidal thoughts. It doesn't happen often, and it only lasts for a few hours.....but I get REALLY depressed and actually plan it.

Yes, I realize this is serious.

However, I "snap" out of it within a few hours.

It's only happened a few times, and within the last few weeks.

The thing is, I'm a pretty stable person and I'm actually EXCEEDINGLY happy. I'm not moody, and it's not my personality.

I feel like something's taken over my body.

Could it be the paxil? I know it has these side-effects for younger people, but I'm not on it for depression.

PLEASE HELP. I want to know whether or not I should call my doctor....

Well a couple years ago on playground at preschool my best friend called me man. I had just lost my voice, it was deep and low and now to this day it is still deep and low. I experience manly symptoms such as hairy legs and armpits and a slight mustache under my nose. I also always have to urge to pass gas in my closet.

the past 4 days i've been out of work due to a side effect from a hormone i was on a week prior. i started feeling a little better, although i still have stiffness that i cannot explain in my muscles. i refuse to go to the ER because they can never provide me with a logical answer. last time they told me i had a STD which it turned out to be a yeast infection. i was fine most of the day but i did do a little driving which i hadn't done in a while and i was moving around more. i was having a problem before because of my muscles being stiff. but just 15 minutes ago, i went and took a shower and came out and now i'm shaky and a little off (not quite dizzy but a little room spinny and everything suddenly looks a lot brighter). i know that sounds weird. my husband talked to a pharmacist who coincidently was a woman and was also on the same hormone. she had the same problem with her muscles. has anyone had this problem and does it go away.

My dad will be starting his radiotherapy treatment next month for 30 days. The doctors say that he'll be receiving the treatment in the morning and can actually go home for the day after the treatment has been administered. I have a one-year-old kid who really loves to play with his grandpa. Is it safe for my kid to hang around my dad whenever he comes home from the hospital after his treatment.?

Ok, I grew up not really knowing my dad, so when I heard from him and decides to live with him I was happy for like a month or so, then I got really depressed and started cutting again, and then I decided to move back to my moms because of my step mom, but about a month after I moved back to my momsI was the same way...happy at first, then a month later depressed and cutting again...so..why can't I just stay happy.

Nothing has really happened to make me start again, I just got depressed again and started cutting and stuff again..anyone have any idean why this is happening? What can I do to just make it stop?? Thanks in advance!

We've been dating for almost six years, lately we've been sleeping together almost daily, and he never lasts long enough. He can't do it more than once a day anymore (like when we first started five years ago) and when he ends "prematurely", he gets very upset and ruins the mood for both of us. We have to stop over and over because after 2 or 3 minutes he's ready to go and finally I have to fake it just for him to feel happy about it. I'm afraid he's starting to lose interest in going to bed because he feels like a failure if I'm not "satisfied". I love being close to him but I hate seeing him unhappy. What can I do to help him last longer?
