Well a couple years ago on playground at preschool my best friend called me man. I had just lost my voice, it was deep and low and now to this day it is still deep and low. I experience manly symptoms such as hairy legs and armpits and a slight mustache under my nose. I also always have to urge to pass gas in my closet.
HELP!!!

If you don't have a "man's part" and you have a "girl's part" your a girl.

Lets see, I know plenty of girls, including one of my aunts who has a manly voice, ITS COMPLETELY NORMAL!

Hairy legs & hairy armpist- women get them, some more than others but women get them!

The passing gas thing? People do that, but thats pretty gross, just don't do it in public and your fine.

I can almost garuntee that if you dont have a stick in your pants, your a girl, unless you could have been born with a man's part inside of you which is rare and i completely doubt you were a hermaphadite (can't spell) but I'd check with my parents?

okay, How old are you?
There a difference between Sex and gender.
Your sex is the anatomical feature aka male-penis, female-vagina
Gender is socially constructed.
Also, I wouldn't think of being a man as an illness with symptoms.
Female have hairy legs, armpits, mustaches which is why when you walk down the beauty aisle at your local walmart you see a entire section dedicated to waxes, creams, and razors. The passing gas thing definitely lets me know you are feminine because you are doing it discreetly, not out in public.
What do you feel more comfortable being refer to as? That's your answer.

Take a good look at yourself without you clothes on. Talk to your doctor about a hormonal blood test. Meanwhile, get a razor and shave the legs and armpits. Have the arm hair and under nose hair waxed and then see how you feel about your gender. Hair can be removed, so don't worry about it. You may just have a thyroid condition too, so get checked for that. Best wishes

If you were in pre-school a "couple years ago", then that means that you are about 7 or 8 right now... I don't think someone that young would even ask this type of question!

Gender is not about whether or not you have hair growth on your body or experience "manly symptoms", it's about how you perceive yourself. If you feel that you are a male, then your gender is male. If your sex is male, but you feel like you are truly a female, then your gender is female.

Gender and sex are two different things.

Just look between your legs. If you've got male equipment, you're a male... If you've got female equipment, you're a female.

Chances are, if you go into the closet to pass gas, instead of out in the breeze, your testosterone level is a bit low.

If, for some reason, the above experiment cannot be done, and or you want an objective opinion, get your x and or y chromosomes counted.

Weird question. Well, I would say, if you have a guys' "you-know-what" down there, you're a guy. If you have a girls "you-know-what" down there, you're a girl. By technicality that is.

Now, what you feel inside may be different. If you're a woman, but feel, look, and act like a guy, or vice versa, you may have a gender issue. That is something you need to discuss with a doctor. They can put you on meds, and if you decide you want a sex change, they can refer you to the right place to go for that.

gender is determined not by "symptoms" but by the XX or XY chromosomes. and the easiest way to determine that is look if your genitals match those of afemale or of a male
