If a person has HPV, does this make them ineligible to donate blood in the future ?

2007-10-05 21:21:48 · 8 answers · asked by Yeti 2 in STDs

After years of poor treatment at my local health department (we are talking FIVE YEARS of abnormal paps before i finally got sent to a specialist!), I finally was diagnosed with HPV. My doctor told him he had never seen such advanced HPV in anyone my age before. I have the high-risk strain, NOT the warts-strain. My fiance got a wart on his penis and went to the urologist and got medicine. It went away for a while. Then it came back worse than before. He is getting it removed next week, but his doctor told him it was HPV. Now he is blaming me for it (not meanly, I told him about my hpv before we even were dating.) If I don't have warts or the HPV strain of warts, could I have given it to him? Or did he get it somewhere else?? I'm very confused about this....

i been together with my man for about a year now. we been doin pretty good. but he has a very small penis. about 5 1/2 inches maybe 6 (doubt a 6.. but maybe) anyhow he has tryed to become a better lover and do new moves but nothing is working. it is just too small. it is hard for me to even feel it. he is the 2nd person i have ever been with. the first was a guy who had a 7 inch. I find myself comparing. even though he treats me much better the other guy's penis felt so much better because of his size. what should i do? sex is very important to me. but so is he. but how for him to please me? i get tired of oral and want, crave, need penis. help me!

I've had this yeast infection for about a month now. I am a guy. I have never had sex in my life and I don't have diabetes (been tested / good health / 21 years old). By my doctor - I've been on ketocona cream for about two weeks, and now I've been put on Clotrimazole cream and if it doesn't clear up in about a week and a half I have to go back. So far it doesn't look like it is doing anything. This is really embarrasing because someday I am going to have to have sex to have kids and I do not want this yeast to be here because it's embarrasing and I am scared it's going to kill me or something I just want it gone! The doctor has told me it is due to the heat and humid weather..what else can he do if this Clotrimzaloe cream doesn't work?

when you are doing, body weight workouts like pushups, pull ups or squats what are the points of reps i mean people do 3 sets of 20 and such i don't know why they don't just do it until there arms or legs are on fire. Same thing with light weight workouts they do like fifteen reps of a few sets. I would appreciate if someone could tell me why not just keep going and going, lets be honest the more reps you push out the more tone and solid you are going to become. Like i said i don't see the point could someone explain it to me.

My grandma died about 14 years ago from breast cancer, she was about 65, my mom died last summer at the age of 52 after having breast cancer for nine years. I had my first mammogram last year at the age of 34 and was sent in for another one, they said that I had dense breast tissue. I was wondering is there a percentage that I may or may not develop breast cancer. Oh, I forgot to add that my mom and my grandma's cancer was estrogen based. Should I get the genetic test? What are your opinions on this? Thank you

I've suffered depression for over a decade. It was seasonal when living up north; but is now steady year round; but not as severe living in the South. I've tried every SSRI, Wellbutrin, Adderall, you name it and none pull me completely out without making me miserable in another area such as poor sex drive, weight gain, emotional blunting, etc. Provigil was the ONLY medicine that made me feel completely normal; it was a godsend; but after two weeks it began to stop working almost completely even after dose increase. This question is aimed at chemists or persons very familiar with actions of meds on the brain. The provigil allowed me to wake up almost instantly (rather than sleeping 14 hours a day), I had a sex drive, I thought clearly, no side effects, a pure miracle but short lived. Definitely not a placebo affect, it was far too distinct. What action does Provigil have on the brain, and is there any other drug, legal or not, that would be similar? My life is worthless.

I have a 17 yr old autistic boy. About the middle of july of this yr, he started seing an evil wolf and it was coming in the window with its teeth showing. He was scared to death and crying and screaming for 4 nights in a row and I was about to fall on my face tired from all this. Now, again in the past week, the wolf came back and it was through the other window..he was again scared and cried. I sat with him and talked tohim and played music until he went to sleep. Last night, it was a big black and white cow and it was scarey and evil. I again sat with him, played gospel music on live365 until he went to sleep and he had the lite on again. I cant have the lite on as electricty is expensive. I Have a nite light for him on the wall every night. Today was complete hell. He told me while ago after my little girl and I were in total misery of his Shadows, he told me he had beenscared all day. I thought he sounded desperate. Will a proffesional in autism please tell me whats going on here?

This resembles a huge red welt. I have never been very prone to acne and I shower and keep myself clean. I am a girl who is nearly 13 (yeah I am an early developer).
It hurts whenever I sit and I am having all these bad ideas of having a butt infection!!
The "zit" is big and red, with a white tip, and I am too wimpy to try and pop it (never had a huge whitehead zit before... I'm pretty lucky with genes when it comes to acne problems)

What should I do??
