If a person has HPV, does this make them ineligible to donate blood in the future ?

People with HPV can still donate blood. HPV is a direct skin to skin contact virus and affects the skin of a person, not the blood.

According to the American Red Cross:
"Chlamydia, venereal warts (human papilloma virus), or genital herpes are not a cause for deferral if you are feeling healthy and well and meet all other eligibility requirements."

HPV is not a blood-borne illness (they are different from viruses like HIV and hepatitis in this way). HPV should not keep you from donating blood.
