i want to get birth control, and even though i'm over 18 (i'm 19 and will be 20 soon), i still live with my parents (i'm in college, so i want to live off-campus, at home, to save money), but there is a problem. i think both of my parents still see me as a child, their "baby", and i've tried to talk to them before about sex and relationships and other "adult" issues, but they want no parts of it, therefore, it's hard for me to talk about birth control and protection and things of that nature. i guess they dont feel comfortable seeing me as an adult doing adult things. i want to get birth control, but i am afraid my mother wont want to take me to an appt to get it (still on their insurance), and there are no planned parenthoods or free clinics in my area. how can i get birth control, or at least find a way to talk to my parents about it without any of us being really uncomfortable about the issue? and yes i use condoms, but i also want to use bc as well.
